2019 Peninsula Hawks Scholarship Award Announcements

This spring the Longbranch Foundation sent a check for $8,000 to the Peninsula Hawks to assist with funding the scholarships of six students.

The Longbranch Foundation was proud to award a new scholarship to Emily Ehrhardt, a 2019 PHS graduate. Emily was appreciative for the scholarship and sent the following note:

Emily Ehrhardt thank you letter to Longbranch Foundation June 2019

The Foundation board has also made a significant commitment to support our previous scholarship recipients as they progress through their college careers. In that regard, the following students received scholarship renewals:

    • Ian Lindhartsen – PLU – majoring in Chinese and Music

    • Mikayla Maniatopoulos – WSU – majoring in Business and Accounting

    • Kiersten Till – U of W – majoring in Business

    • Natalie Pierson – Northern Arizona University – majoring in Physics and Astronomy

    • Aleece Smith – WSU – majoring in Biology and Education

Regarding this campaign in support of Peninsula High students, Scholarship Chairman Don Berger shares the following message:

On behalf of the Longbranch Improvement Club Scholarship Committee and The Longbranch Foundation Board, I want to thank the Peninsula Hawks organization and volunteers who devote time and energy in support of PHS graduates.

We are proud to work with you as partners in this worthwhile project.

Don Berger, Scholarship Chairman
