In February of 2018 the Longbranch Foundation awarded Food Backpacks 4 Kids a $2,000 grant to provide a carton of shelf-stable milk in each backpack for the remainder of the school year.
Food Backpacks for Kids distributes 332 backpacks per week to 16 area schools. One third of those backpacks go to Evergreen Elementary and KPMS.
In July of 2018 Food Backpacks 4 Kids sent a second thank you letter detailing the positive effect of the grant.
